Fekkai Sensuelle EDT & Shu Uemura Face Architect Smoothing Fluid

I fell prey to Space NK's mid year sale as I popped in to take a look. Despite spending more money than I should have in NY, I bought two items which justified breaking the bank just a little bit further.

This Frederic Fekkai fragrance instantly reminded me of Lush's Gorgeous. It's Lush's most expensive face cream, made with orange blossoms and neroli oil. Sensuelle smells blissful and although it's mildly fruity, the scent is womanly and alluring. I really like that it's clean smelling as strong scents bother my sensitive nose.

Buying the Shu Uemura foundation was a fluke. I don't wear normally foundation due to the hassle of cleaning brushes. Also I subconsciously wipe it off during the day when they feel greasy and itchy. Since this was less than half off, I gave it a try and it amazingly transformed my skin.

It's easy to blend and very pigmented for the watery consistency. What sold me was that my pores disappeared and the finish was weightless. Like I don't have any foundation on. No wonder they call it a "smoothing" foundation. Brilliant complexion trickey, I reakon. Since it was so easy to apply with my fingers, I realised I NEEDED this product!

Kiehl's Gardenia Essence Oil

Finally got this essence oil from Harrods!

While I was in Sydney, I tried the Kiehls essence oil range. Gardenia was the most striking. Glad I waited to buy it here because it's £20 compared to $55 in Oz.

Actually Keihls is cheapest in the States. I'll stock up on more scents when I go there!

Gardenia smells EXACTLY like stationary I used as a kid. Before the days of email, letter writing and stationary collecting was a hobby of mine. Forgotten memories come flooding back when I wear this.

It's concentrated so a tiny dab lasts for hours. The scent is powerful at first but then it develops into a lovely spring floral aroma.

The essence oils comes in a 7ml amber glass containers with roller ball applicator. It's spill proof and you can even blend the scents.

Each essence oil features the date of their first known introduction by Keihls.

One thing to note is that these are not true perfume oils. They contain benzyl alcohol so beware if your skin reacts to alcohol!

The Body Shop White Musk Perfume OIl

If you grew up in an isolated country town like I did, you might have regarded The Body Shop as a luxury. I rarely travelled as a teenager so obtaining their products was a treat.

I remember when The Body Shop covered a niche. It offered delicious-smelling effective face and body care. The products were simply packaged with a social conscious.

Nowadays it's socially conscious marketing is fiercer than ever. My guess is to avoid appearing as mainstream as the other brands of Loreal.

I miss the old Body Shop. It feels pretentious now. I even miss the basic logo emblazoned on every label.

Despite all changes, my love for the White Musk range stays strong. I adore the colour of the soap and how it smells clean and sexy at the same time. White Musk is serene and uncomplicated. It's my dreamy "home" scent.

I bought the perfume oil as opposed to the EDT. It does'nt contain alcohol and it's concentrated so one dab lasts for hours. I can't speak for all perfume oils, but this one smells true from application to the last remnant of scent.

I wish The Body Shop would reintroduce their larger range of perfume oils. I loved testing them in the store and mixing my own concoctions! Does anyone else remember doing this?

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Freebie

I'm on a spending ban now as I've been very UN-frugalicious.

Two weeks ago I bought a pink Parlux 3500 hairdryer. This week I bought a Mason Pearson hairbrush from Ebay and makeup from Strawberrynet.

While my internet purchases are on the way, I got a kick out out of bringing home nice things without spending cash. Scored a free Chanel perfume sample and ribbon "bracelet" from Myer. (Which is pretty useless except I'm using the box to store jewellery.)

The perfume is Coco Mademoiselle and it smells heavenly. I'm no way eloquent when it comes to describing scents. Let's just say that it reminds me of Chanel Allure and Davidoff Cool Water!
