You're probably thinking "what the..." when you're reading about LV on this blog but I confess that I splurged.

I went to Paris for the weekend to meet a dear girlfriend and an innocent day of shopping ended with as an uncontrollable spree. We visited the Champs Elysees LV store and when I saw this bag, there was nothing stopping my appetite to acquire pretty things.

The Neverfull models are relatively cheaper compared to other LV bags. I chose the PM because it sits well on my frame and does'nt engulf me. The larger bags (MM and GM) did'nt cost that much more.

Although the PM is the smallest size, it's roomy and the side straps can be loosened to expand the bag further. One initial complaint is that the shoulder straps are thin so they're a bit painful if you're carrying a full bag. I'm sure they'll eventually soften over time.

I keep bits and bobs in a clear plastic zip case so I don't need to scoop out the entire contents of the bag to find something.

Some people say that the bag is reversible but personally I would'nt do it. Seems counterintuitive when coated canvas is a lot more durable and stain resistant.

The cloth interior print is quaint. I like how it features the address of the store where I bought it from. The bag is the perfect souvenir!

Needless to say, no more handbags for a long long time.

Brown Vintage Leather Cross Body Bag

No bag would be vintage without signs of wear and old fashioned craftmanship. The lush leather has aged like a steak. Pre-loved and worn in from the first contact. If the bag survives years of use, it will last a lifetime.

With use the leather is moulded and bashed into buttery softness. There are natural inconsistencies in colour and texture. The brass hardware has oxidised and the twist locks creek when I turn them. Yep, there is truly no bag exactly like this one.

I love cross body bags because they're easy to carry and keep hands free. No need to balance my bag on one knee and sift through the contents!

Naturally I found this at the charity shop. It was £8. I'm grateful to have found my signature casual bag. So thank you, previous owner. The loving for this bag shall continue on.

Oushka Leather Handbag

I'm finding op shop goodies every weekend, buying only things I need like work clothes and ahem, more handbags.

I recently discovered an awesome string of charity shops in West Hampstead. Spent hours there on Saturday morning hunting for pretty things. I like to unwind this way and my heart even races when I find something special.

The shops in West Hampstead are tidy and the stock is good quality. I bought a French dictionary for 99p because I'm learning French.

Check out this itty bitty handbag from London label, Oushka. It was £3.50. Can't believe the previous owner gave this baby away.

The bag is in brand new condition. I love the soft slouchy leather and gold hardware. Only fits the bare essentials but who cares for a bargain like this!

Op Shop Haul - LUX, Pied A Terre, Dune and M&S Autograph

It's week 5 of unemployment and I'm officially on a spending ban.

The problem is, I can't help taking a look when I pass an thrift store. In London, there are heaps of them. I even live around the corner from one!

Yesterday I found this purple LUX (from Urban Outfitters) batwing wool knit for £7. It's tagged as medium so I told myself to put it down and walk away. I went home and came back 20 minutes later because I could'nt stop thinking about it!

It was originally intended to be a lounging-around-at-home top. In the photo above, I'm wearing it over a IRO slip dress with a Longchamp belt and Dune kitten heels.

On the return visit, these Dune heels had made it to the rack. They were £8 so I rationalised that I needed a comfy pair of work heels. (Eventually.)

Today I found an oversized clutch from M&S Autograph. It's in brand new condition and the leather smells intoxicating. I just want to smell it all day!

The clutch is mushroom grey with purple stitching. It's main feature is the intricate "fortune teller origami" design on the front.

The clutch had two price tags, £3.99 and £4.99. The sales lady kindly let me have it for the cheaper price.

As I was leaving the store, a random ankle boot caught my eye. It was from Pied A Terre and had the softest broken-in leather. I normally consider it to be a cardinal sin for Asians to wear brown (let alone, with black) but when I tried these on, I was hooked.

The boot did'nt have a price tag so the sales lady quoted £4.99. I found the other boot on different shoe rack and bought them.

It was'nt until I got home, I realised the other boot had the price tag. It was marked £6.99. Yay, an even better bargain!

Tokidoki Pegaso Nobile Bag

Introducing my latest acquisition-the Tokidoki Pegaso Nobile!

My love for this bag was born from a tweet of the lovely Christine. She found this bag plus a deal from JapanLA for a free Tokidoki cactus pup and free shipping.

The multi-coloured print is adorable, especially with the unicorns!

Unfortunately shipping was free for US orders only. We sent our bags to the one address to save on shipping and I picked up mine today. Whooo hoooo!

You're probably wondering why I photographed my bag with the wrapping still intact. I'm savoring it's new-ness. Missy's Em logic is that this builds anticipation for when it's unwrapped and thus adds to the satisfaction of the purchase!

Charles & Keith Grey Satchel Handbag

I was in Singapore recently to attend a friend's wedding.

On my way back to Sydney, I decided to use up my Singaporean currency at Changi airport. Came across a Charles & Keith store and was impressed with their range of shoes and handbags. Their style mimics European designer fashion and their items are affordably priced.

Most of their handbags are made of a synthetic but believeable leather-like material resembling lambskin. It was actually a plus because I needed a bag which can take rough treatment!

This bag is the perfect size to carry everything around in with ease. Hope it gets slouchier with use. It was $56 SGD duty free.
